RISE Drives Social Change Through Sports and Education

RISE (Ross Initiative in Sports for Equality, Inc.) is committed to educating and inspiring the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations in our country. With a two-year, $2M contribution, Group 1001 is helping enact change through programming impacting our youngest citizens through professional athletes.  Learn more about RISE’s impact in the 2021 end-of-year newsletter here.

We’re proud to support this initiative with the Group 1001 Fellowship Program, helping to support equity in career opportunities for athletes transitioning from athlete to professional. The Fellowship enables two fellows to work at RISE for one-year terms, gaining business experience as they enter the next phase of their careers.

“While it won’t be solved overnight, we can contribute to the solution to end racial discrimination through new ideas and actions that bring a positive impact,” said Group 1001 President and CEO Dan Towriss.
