Delaware Life Executives Participate in Association of Life Insurance Counsel’s Annual Meeting
Delaware Life’s Chief Legal Officer, Mike Bloom, and Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Maura Murphy, attended the Association of Life Insurance Counsel’s 2023 Annual Meeting in California on May 7-9. Their participation at the conference exemplified Delaware Life’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve, driving innovation, and fostering collaboration within the industry. Leaders of the life insurance bar gather each year at this meeting to discuss critical legal issues challenging life insurance companies.
Bloom serves as the 2023 Chair of the Securities Section of ALIC (“Section”), which is the premier association for legal counsel advising life insurers. After serving as Vice Chair of the Section in 2022, Bloom capped off his second year of Section leadership by planning the Section’s breakout session at the 2023 meeting. During the Annual Meeting, Murphy moderated the Section’s panel of professionals from Carlton Fields and Eversheds Sutherland discussing SEC Enforcement and Registered Product Developments. She facilitated an engaging discussion and represented Delaware Life and Group 1001 as a leading industry expert in SEC registered insurance products.
