Indy Women in Tech’s Jessica Maginn Awarded Fundraiser of the Year

Congratulations to Jessica Maginn, Marketing Communications Coordinator for Indy Women in Tech (IWiT), for being named Fundraiser of the Year by OneCause’s Raise Awards!

This award acknowledges “the rock stars among us, who aspire and inspire us each and every day. These individuals live out the organization’s mission, are dedicated to the donor experience, never stop learning, and always give 100% to the cause.”

Jessica was one of nearly 70 nominees who was narrowed down to five finalists. The judges evaluated how nominees embodied leadership and stood out among colleagues. They also assessed how each nurtured relationships to drive the mission and reviewed successful campaign results.

She was recognized with the Fundraiser of the Year award on September 12 along with two others at the Raise conference in Nashville, Tenn. Jessica received a $500 gift card along with admission to the Raise event/fundraising conference.

“This remarkable achievement is a testament to the creativity and passion that Jessica brings to Indy Women in Tech every day,” said Elly Nettleton, Group 1001 Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer. “I am so grateful for her unwavering commitment to IWiT’s mission and enriching the lives of women and girls in our community.”

Over the past several years, Jessica has run seven donation campaigns, expanded IWiT’s supporter base by 58% in one year, and raised more than $22,000 from three silent auctions. Her connections have developed into partnerships and sponsorships. Additionally, Jessica mentors two young women.

“I feel deeply honored to receive the Fundraiser of the Year award,” Jessica Maginn said. “This recognition is a reflection of the incredible support and generosity of our community, and the collaboration and dedication of the IWiT team (Ariel Crawley and Kristan Russell). I am beyond grateful to be a part of IWiT's movement and am excited for the continued growth that lies ahead.”

At Group 1001, we are committed to investing in strategic partnerships like IWiT, an organization that has enabled hundreds of women to move into tech careers and achieve financial freedom for the first time in their lives.

OneCause is committed to helping cause-driven organizations amplify their message and raise more funds with easy-to-use fundraising solutions. The annual Raise conference featured top fundraising experts, panels, roundtables, and the esteemed awards ceremony.
