Group 1001 CEO and President Speaks at 2024 Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation Aspire Gala

On March 16, Group 1001 joined the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation (CRSF) for the 2024 Aspire Gala. The event honors sports, entertainment, and business leaders and those making a difference in the lives of others. Group 1001 CEO and President Dan Towriss was a co-chair and employees from Group 1001, Delaware Life, and Parity attended the gala.

This year, attendees enjoyed robust programming including a live painting of Derek Jeter, a fireside chat with Cal Ripken Jr., Billy Ripken, and Derek Jeter plus additional award recognition and entertainment. Derek Jeter was recognized with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Award. Parity athletes were recognized along with other elite athletes and Hall of Famers. The Pointer Sisters performed live.

The CRSF helps to strengthen America’s most underserved and distressed communities by supporting and advocating for children, building youth development parks, partnering with law enforcement and youth service agencies, and addressing community needs through its national program initiatives.

Group 1001 is proud to partner with the CRSF - our commitment to making a meaningful impact and empowering local communities is central to our mission. Since 2018, Group 1001 has funded 16 Youth Development Parks to impact over 104,000 kids.

All proceeds from this year’s gala directly benefit the work of the CRSF and the 1.4 million children impacted each year. To learn more about the CRSF, visit their website at www.ripkenfoundation.org.
