Group 1001 Employees Making a Difference in Waltham

For Group 1001 employees, volunteering is part of their DNA. They volunteer their time to improve the communities where they live and work.  

In December, theWaltham, MA,office conducted a fooddrive tobenefit Healthy Waltham, a non-profit organization focused on addressing the food insecurity needs in the City of Waltham. Healthy Waltham’s vision is to foster a community of wellness where all people have the opportunity and support to thrive and prosper. An impressive20 boxes of food donations were contributed by Group 1001 employees to Healthy Waltham and delivered to the organization for their December 22 foodpantry.  

In addition to the food contributions, Group 1001 employees and their family members volunteered at the food pantryon that day, and also coordinated a $1,000 donation.  

Building on December’s efforts, in February, nine members of the Law & Compliance team volunteered at Healthy Waltham. The team helped check people in, track carts, distribute food, and replenish tables. In March, to celebrate Employee Appreciation Day, the Waltham office volunteered at the Healthy Waltham food pantry, packing pantry items and distributing them to families in need. 

“I amproud of our employees who contributed their time and generous donations, and I think at the end of the day we all benefited from everything that was accomplished for such a good cause,” said Jayne Korowski, Group 1001 Vice President, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition.
